Die Fotos von Roger Richter berühren den Betrachter auf einzigartige Weise, weil sie dokumentieren, dass selbst die größte Not immer auch Lichtblicke, Optimismus und neue Chancen in sich birgt. Yunus-Biograf Peter Spiegel vermittelt in seinem Essay nicht nur die große Vision, mit der Muhammad Yunus zum Vorreiter eines sozialen Unternehmertums wurde, sondern zeigt auch, wie der in Verruf geratene Kapitalismus durch ein neues Denken neue Blüten hervorbringen kann – nicht nur für die Reichen und Mächtigen, sondern für alle Menschen.

Ab Anfang 2009 machen wir uns auf die Reise durch die Lande. Auf unserer Tour laden wir alle Initiativen und Gruppen ein, sich bei uns zu melden, wenn sie die Aufführung des Filmes und das Rahmenprogramm als Plattform rund um die Themen: anders Leben, andere Werte, Ökologie, Nachhaltigkeit, Gemeinschaft, Eigeninitiative, Soziales/Zwischenmenschliches, für sich nutzen wollen. Wir werden sie bei der Organisation und der Pressearbeit unterstützen und auch der Regisseur freut sich über Einladungen zu den Veranstaltungen.
Denn unsere Tour will mehr als nur den Film in die Kinos bringen. Über das Filmerlebnis hinaus soll es in jeder Stadt ein regionales Rahmenprogramm geben. Der Kinobesucher soll die Möglichkeit bekommen sich selbst ein zu bringen, mit zu diskutieren, lokale Ideen, Gruppen, Projekte und vor allem Gleichgesinnte kennen zu lernen.
SYNOPSIS
Auf der Suche nach einem zukunftsorientierten Gesellschaftsentwurf stieß der Filmemacher A. Stiglmayr 150km westlich von Berlin, in der Altmark, auf die vor 10 Jahren gegründete Modellsiedlung "Sieben Linden". 120 unterschiedliche Menschen, Lebensstile und Gruppen versuchen dort Lebensbereiche wie Arbeit, Freizeit, Kommunikation, Heilung, Bildung, Ökonomie, Ökologie und Kultur miteinander zu verbinden.
Einfühlsam aber nicht beschönigend, erzählt der Film anhand des Alltags und der Gedanken zweier Mitbegründer des Dorfes von den Herausforderungen des Gemeinschaftslebens mit seinen persönlichen, ethischen und ökologischen Ansprüchen, sowie von Zwiespälten, Erfolgen, Verirrungen und den täglichen Begegnungen von Menschen, die einen anderen als den üblichen Weg gehen.
Nach dem bundesweit erfolgreichen Kinofilm "Der bayerische Rebell" über den eigenwilligen Liedermacher Hans Söllner, stellt Stiglmayr nun ein Projekt vor, in dem die Sehnsüchte einzelner Menschen praktikable, nachhaltige Lösungen für ein gelungenes Lebensmodell hervorbringen.

Arun Manilal Gandhi is the fifth grandson of Mohandas Gandhi, and has spent much of his life promoting the principles of non-violence and social activism that made his grandfather one of the seminal figures of the 20th century.
As an Indian growing up in South Africa, he had firsthand experience of the humiliations heaped on people because of the color of their skin.
In 1948, Arun was actually living in India with his grandfather at the time of his assassination. He was surrounded by the tumult of India's struggle for independence, both violent and non-violent.
